From the start of the group stage there was a definite meta between all the teams. Late game carries like Spectre and the likes of Underlord being some of the most contested heroes in the draft phase. Teams opting to have a stable laning phase and battle it out carry to carry in the later stages of the game. Oracle proved to be one of the stand out supports for all teams who ran him, only dropping one game in the entire tournament.
Once the group stage was completed, the likes of Bulletjie Gaming and TeamKushPalsania stood above the rest with an undefeated record. However an upset in the first match of the upper bracket saw Cthulu's Followers take the best of three 2-0 over TKP, sending TKP on the long route through the lower bracket.
